Vishal's TCP course was good for the most part. He had some really good ways to approach problems that made test day a breeze for this section.
Vishal went over all of the major chapters that are necessary for passing TCP. However, there were a few topics that I did not feel confident about walking out of the test that I wish he had spent more time on. Namely, the different kinds of IRAs, 401(K)s, ESAs, AND Trusts. Some of these topics he went over in his lectures briefly but not enough compared to what I encountered on the actual exam. Did he teach me what I needed to know? Yes. Did he teach me EVERYTHING I needed to know? No.
I also felt like Vishal tried to present himself as a mentor interested in my success but he ultimately came off looking like an aggressive salesman trying to get me to buy more of his study materials. He would send me texts "checking in" on how I was doing and then plug some other review course he was trying to sign everyone up for. I found this off-putting and I had no desire to purchase any of his other materials after this.
There are other CPA tutors out there just like Vishal that are true mentors and genuinely care. They don't see people as customers, they see them as their pupils. They have enough faith in their product that once it delivers, people will return for more naturally. Vishal needs to work on this.
After using Becker, I felt overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information. Vishal simplifies the key concepts and shows how they connect across different topics, helping strengthen your overall understanding rather than making each chapter feel like an endless stream of new material. I'm so thankful for this, it's been such a great learning experience & I wish I found Vishal sooner!
Vishal goes above and beyond to connect with his students to meet them where they are to make sure they are progressing towards passing their exams. Highly recommend
I recently purchased the TCP bundle from Vishal CPA Prep, and it’s been a great investment so far. The materials are very well-structured and easy to follow, which really helped me understand topics that used to feel overwhelming. He breaks concepts down so easy for everyone in the live classes. Further, the classes are interactive so you can also learn from other students in the classes as well. What I like most is how practical and straightforward the explanations are - it doesn’t feel like you’re just memorizing, but actually UNDERSTANDING the concepts. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this to anyone preparing for TCP to take it within a month, its definitely doable with the help of Vishal. It’s a solid resource and worth it. 5 stars!
Vishal is great when it comes to teaching the tax sections! He teaches tips and tricks to help answer questions with ease I wouldn’t have known how to do otherwise!
