CPA Review Course Membership FAQs

Got some questions about our memberships? Read these frequently asked membership questions.

How Does Membership Work?

So, membership is very straightforward. We have 2 tiers to choose from depending on the level of assistance you need. Both membership tiers include a customized study plan that I make for you after our free introductory call. It’ll be based on your ideal timeline and how many hours you can commit to working through the CPA study materials every week. Both tiers also include 1 60 minute Private Zoom Tutoring session each month so that we can check your progress and address any areas that need extra attention. These are great for checking your progress so we can make any changes to your study plan as we go.

In addition to your membership, you can also sign on for Group Zoom Tutoring or additional Private Zoom Tutoring to access more support for your CPA preparation. The customized study plan we make will suggest Group Zoom Tutoring that would be most helpful for the CPA study materials of that week. Students tend to book Private Zoom Tutoring as and when they need assistance to understand a tricky concept.

What Is the Difference Between Tier 1 and Tier 2 Membership?

Both tiers of this CPA review course include a personalized study plan, a monthly 60 minute Private Zoom Tutoring session, and access to me for any questions. Tier 1 and 2 both include CPA study materials for all 4 sections of the exam.

Tier 2 includes extra perks like 24/7 access to additional CPA study materials, like comprehensive CPA study guides and a customized mock assessment to check if you are ready to take your CPA exam. Which Membership Is Best For Me?

That will depend on the level of support you are looking for in a CPA review course. Tier 1 is great for a self-starter who feels confident with the CPA study materials. Tier 2 offers a lot of extra support for someone who is struggling with the CPA study materials or looking for a more structured learning experience. The comprehensive study guides explain accounting concepts and CPA course material in easy to grasp language with real-life examples.

How Many Hours a Week Should I Study For the CPA Exam?

This CPA review course is a little different in that we focus on the quality of study rather than the quantity of study. Most of my students have other commitments like full-time jobs, families, or school. They don’t have time to memorize CPA study materials or consume entire textbooks. Instead, my CPA review course focuses on that aha moment when complex accounting concepts click into place. Simply put, my students pass the CPA exam because they apply their accounting knowledge to the questions. I’ll teach you how to study in an efficient manner so that you can do quality preparation no matter how busy you get.

How Long Is Your CPA Review Course And How Much Time Do I Need to Put Aside For Study?

It varies from student to student. Some students may be taking this CPA review course to study for all 4 exams; others may have already passed some of their exams.

On average, it takes students this long to complete the CPA study materials for each exam:

FAR:  12 Weeks

REG:  10 Weeks

BEC:   6 Weeks

AUD:   7 Weeks

But if you are working full-time, studying, or raising a family, you may take a little longer to work through the CPA study materials. That is okay; I prefer you take the time to understand all of the material instead of burning yourself out trying to cram all of the material into a few months. When we have our free introductory session, we’ll discuss your commitments and learning style so we can create an achievable study plan. I like to give a rough guide of 8-12 months for the CPA review course, but after the free introductory session, I’ll be able to give you a more accurate number.

How Does Payment Work?

The membership for my CPA review course is charged once a month from the date you first sign up. So, if you sign up on the 1st, you’ll be charged on the 1st of every month. You can pause your membership at any time, but you will not have access to the CPA study materials while your membership is paused. If you need to pause your membership, please contact me, and I’ll pause it right away.

In addition to the memberships, you’ll need to pay for any Group Zoom Tutoring or Private Zoom Tutoring you attend. Group Zoom Tutoring is paid for in advance when you book your place using the Calendly tool. Private Zoom Tutoring is booked through the Calendly tool, but paid for via invoice after the call.

Do You Offer Any Discounts?

The membership costs are fixed prices.

Group Zoom Tutoring and Private Zoom Tutoring both operate on a volume pricing model; the more time you book, the lower the per hour price. I believe my students should not be financially penalized for needing a bit of extra help. I am also sympathetic to financial needs and will work with you to design the best CPA review course for your budget, time, and learning needs.

Do You Have a Pass Guarantee?

Unfortunately, I cannot offer a pass guarantee. I can give you all the CPA study materials and 1 on 1 support, but you need to put in the effort too. That being said, you are looking into CPA review courses and CPA tutoring because you are motivated, so I like your chances.

I recommend all of my students book a Private Zoom Tutoring session 2 weeks before their exam so we can test their knowledge and create a study timetable to address any knowledge gaps. The students that do so achieve great results, even when they have failed the CPA exam in the past.

Do you offer a Tier 1 or Tier 2 membership refund if I am not fully satisfied?

Yes! If for whatever reason you are not satisfied of using the study guide within the first month of signing up, I will refund you the full price. Note that the refund is only issued within the first month of purchasing. Any other previously used months will not be refunded.

How do I cancel my Tier 1 or Tier 2 membership after passing all of my exams?

When you initially sign up on the membership page, it will make you create a login and password. Please make sure you save this login and password! All you need to do is simply login into your account at any time on the website and you can cancel your Tier 1 or Tier 2 membership at your convenience.
